AML/CTF Statement.
Levantine Express recognizes the importance of preventing money laundering and terrorism financing and is committed to the highest standards of Anti-Money Laundering. Levantine Express is authorized as a payment institution from FCA. (FCA Reference No: 940437). Levantine performs Due Diligence and Enhanced Due Diligence where needed to combat all types of financial crimes, Levantine Express will take disciplinary action against any employee who is found to be involved in activities of bribery or corruption to facilitate the customers’ criminal activities. Levantine Express, head office is in the United Kingdom, is subject to applicable legislation designed to prevent AML/CTF. This legislation includes the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 (‘the Regulation’), the Terrorism Act 2000, and Proceed of Crime Act 2002. To fulfil this commitment, Levantine Express establishes internal policies and procedures. This Policy establishes standards which every employee, business partner of Levantine Express should observe. Levantine Express policy is not do business with the following segments of customers:
- Persons included in any official lists of sanctions, in line with the Levantine Express Sanctions Policy.
- Persons indicating possible involvement in criminal activities, based on available information about them.
- Persons with businesses in which the legitimacy of activity or source of funds can’t be reasonably verified.
- Persons refusing to provide the required information or documentation; or
- Entities whose shareholder/control structure cannot be determined.
