Definitions
‘Services’ – This includes but is not limited to all the money remittance services we offer at all times. ‘Fee/Charges’ – This includes but is not limited to our service charge for Transactions, bank charges, delivery charges, payment gateway charges, cancellation & refund charges, administration charges. ‘Transaction’ – This is the execution of the instructions provided by the Remitter, by any electronic means, for the Services.
These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of Levantine Express’ Website.
By accessing this website, we assume you accept these terms and conditions in full. Do not continue to use Levantine Express’ website if you do not accept all of the terms and conditions stated on this page.
The following terminology applies to these Terms and Conditions, Privacy Statement and Disclaimer Notice and any or all Agreements: “Client”, “You” and ““Your” refers to you, the person accessing this website and accepting the Company’s terms and conditions. “The Company”, “Ourselves”, “We”, “Our” and “Us”, refers to our Company. “Party”, “Parties”, or “Us”, refers to both the Client and ourselves, or either the Client or ourselves. All terms refer to the offer, acceptance and consideration of payment necessary to undertake
the process of our assistance to the Client in the most appropriate manner, whether by formal meetings of a fixed duration, or any other means, for the express purpose of meeting the Client’s needs in respect of provision of the Company’s stated services/products, in accordance with and subject to, prevailing law of United Kingdom. Any use of the above terminology or other words in the singular, plural, capitalization and/or he/she or they, are taken as interchangeable and therefore as referring to same.
Execution of transaction
We may, in Our sole discretion, refuse any Transaction or limit the amount to be transferred. The limits imposed are done at our sole discretion and may be changed from time to time. We may also refuse to process a transaction, or We may stop a Transaction from being completed if We believe that:
by doing so We might break any law, regulation, code or other duty and responsibility that applies to us.
by doing so it may expose Us to action form any government or regulator.
it may be linked with any fraudulent or illegal activity; or
You are in breach of these Terms and Conditions.
Unless the law prevents us, we may (at our own discretion) inform the client the reasons for our refusal and how the client can rectify any errors in the instructions given.
We have no obligation to You to initiate or perform a transaction if:
- We are unable to obtain satisfactory evidence of your identity.
- We have any reason to believe that the details provided by you are incomplete, incorrect, unauthorised, or forged.
- We fail to obtain cleared payment for the transaction from you; and We do not accept any liability for damages resulting from non-payment or delay of a transaction or failure to perform a transaction by reason of any of these matters.
Exchange Rate
The exchange rate quoted by Levantine Express through the website is an indicative rate only and is subject to change as per market fluctuations; therefore, the exchange rate is updated daily at different times. Accordingly, the rate which applies to the transaction will be the current rate at the time of processing the transaction.
Fees/Charges
- -Fees/charges shall be charged from the client for each Transaction.
- -Fees/charges may change from time to time and without advance notice.
- -Fees /charges will be visible prior to each transaction.
- – Details of the Fees /charges can also be found on the transaction receipt issued to You.
If You choose to use the Services, the charges will apply. Some credit card issuers may treat the transaction as a cash advance, and you may be charged a fee by the issuer of the credit card. This may appear separately on your bank statement, and we do not accept any liability for these charges or any interest which may be applied. You should check the application of any such charges directly with the card issuer.
Online Transactions
Subject to all the clauses specified herein, the following terms will apply to online transfers:
- You agree to register certain additional details about yourself before carrying out any cardholder not present
transactions. We may, at our own discretion, refuse any transaction for any of the following reasons: - We do not receive authorization from the bank card issuer
- We do not receive credit for your funds in our account.
- The account from which the money is transferred, or the card being used belongs to a third party.
- (iv) any fraud or credit checks conducted reveal any discrepancies.
- We have reason to believe that there may be some fraudulent activity involved.
The client irrevocably and unconditionally authorises us to act upon unauthenticated instructions which appear or purport to be from the client, which are received by telephone or email and/or other means of electronic communication. We are under no duty or obligation to make any enquiry into or to in any way verify instructions received from the Remitter. All debit card users on our online system will be subject to validation checks and authorisation by the card issuer. If the issuer of your payment card refuses to authorise payment your order will not be accepted. All card payments will be processed using 3D Secure which is a payment verification protocol. 3D Secure is branded as ‘Verified by Visa’ and ‘Master Card Secure Code’ to minimise card fraud. The PIN number will have to be set up with the issuing bank and should not be confused with the PIN issued for the card. If a pin is not requested, several questions may be asked via Visa 3D Secure. 3D Secure verifies the card details provided by You. The system is completely automated and we do not store any of the data provided by the 3D secure system.
Refund/Cancellations
You may cancel a Payment Order at any time up until it is executed. Once executed, you cannot cancel or amend a Payment Order. You may exercise this right to cancel here ( CANCEL).
If you exercise your right to cancel after you have sent a Payment Order to us, we will reimburse any payments which you made to us before cancellation, but we will not reimburse you if we have transferred the money to the Beneficiary/ Recipient before we receive your notice of cancellation
Where you cancel a Payment Order or where we cannot complete a Payment Transaction for any reason, we will arrange for a full refund.
The refund may take three to five (3 to 5) Business Days to process. Please note that refunds may take longer to process where internal Compliance checks are required and/or Compliance related queries need to be addressed
In instances where (i) the Beneficiary/Recipient does not collect the money transferred under a Payment Transaction within three (3) months; or (ii) you make a deposit in our account and fail to identify or proceed with a Payment Transaction within thirty (30) Business Days, we will refund the amount of the Payment Transaction to you less the commission initially charged at our exchange rate applicable at the time of the refund. If we cannot refund the money to you because we are unable to contact you and we do not have valid bank details for you that are sufficient for us to make the refund, we will retain the funds subject to our safeguarding obligations under clause 18.
We are not responsible and we will not refund you for any payments made incorrectly as a result of you providing incorrect payment information. In no event shall we be liable for damages for delay, or without limitation any other event relating to Your transaction, whether due to the fault, error or omission by Us, for more than the principal amount of your transaction and the transfer fee/charge. We shall be liable to you for all expenses incurred and for which we are responsible, as well as for any interest that may have been applied to you as a result of non-execution or defective or delayed execution of us. We will not accept scored out documents.
In no circumstance shall we be responsible for any losses or damages which are not foreseeable consequences of a breach of these terms and conditions or any failure to complete Transaction and the transfer fee.
We will not be liable to the client for any incidental, indirect, special or consequential losses or costs or damages or for business losses (such as loss to business profits or opportunities) the Remitter suffers.
If you become aware of an unauthorised or incorrectly executed Payment Transaction, you must notify us, without any unjustified delay, for the purpose of rectifying the situation. We will not refund money to you if there is undue delay in informing us about the problem and in any event if not informed within 6 months from the date of sending the money.
This communication must be made using the means of communication set out in this Contract.
Except for those cases in which Levantine Express Ltd has not provided or made available to you the information corresponding to the Payment Transaction, any communication made by you must take place within at most thirteen months from the execution date of the Payment
License
Unless otherwise stated, Levantine Express and/or it’s licensors own the intellectual property rights for all material on Levantine Express. All intellectual property rights are reserved. You may view and/or print pages from http://www.levexpress.co.uk_ for your own personal use subject to restrictions set in these terms and conditions.
You must not:
redistribute content from Levantine Express (unless content is specifically made for redistribution). In particular you must not Republish material from http://www.levexpress.co.uk, You must not Sell, rent or sub-license material from http://www.levexpress.co.uk, you must not Reproduce, duplicate, or copy material from http://www.levexpress.co.uk
Service Agreement
Money transfers will normally be paid to the Receiver in Cash or Bank deposit after validation of Sender information which may take up to 24 hours. Levantine Express has tied up arrangement with Local Pay out agents in Destination countries for payment disbursement.
Reservation of Rights
We reserve the right to ask for your Identity, Source of Funds (SOF), Source of Wealth (SOW) and Proof of address(POA) at any time and it’s our sole discretion to cancel the transaction due to compliance checks, you agree to be bound to and abide by these linking terms and conditions.
Force Majeure
We will not be liable if we break this agreement because of abnormal and unforeseeable and circumstances outside our control where we could not avoid breaking this agreement despite all efforts on the contrary which may include amongst other circumstances, industrial action, problems with another system or network, mechanical breakdown, data processing failures, English or European Community law, government or government agency policy or other Force Majeure including, without limitation, Act of God, equipment failure, interruption of power supplies, provided that Levantine Express shall endeavour to give notice to its clients.

We will then investigate the matter and try to reach a satisfactory conclusion.Complaints may be recorded and monitored for our internal use; we may submit an anonymous summary of complaints made to us during a particular period of time to our regulator.
